The Shipping Deputy Ministry announces the operation of the Cyprus-Greece Maritime Passenger Connection for the 5th year, which will commence this coming May. The resumption of the Maritime Passenger Connection was a significant initiative of the Republic of Cyprus, which has now been established as a reliable and useful institution for the traveling public. The service continues to serve the essential needs of citizens who wish or need to travel by sea, offering an alternative option to air travel.

The first sailing of the ship will take place on May 29th from Limassol, while the last route from Piraeus to Limassol is scheduled for September 1st.

The start of reservations and the purchase of tickets for this year will begin on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026.

The ship that will serve the public this year is the passenger Ro-Ro ferry “AF Marina”, which is expected to offer upgraded services and amenities for passengers. Specifically:

• All cabins feature private toilets and bathrooms, significantly upgrading the level of comfort.

• The ship has a larger number of cabins and an increased passenger capacity compared to last year.

• Special provision has been made for the transport of pets, which will now be accommodated within cabins and not in special areas (kennels), significantly improving their travel conditions.

• Children aged 0-2 will not pay fares and port taxes.

• Fares and port taxes remain the same, without any increase.
