The work of the 2nd Geopolitical Conference co-organized by the Maritime Intelligence magazine and the Institute of Maritime & Economic Strategy, on Monday 15/4 at the Amphitheater of the War Museum, was concluded with great success.

The conference was attended by 250 delegates, from the fields of Politics, International Diplomacy, Banking & Stock Exchange, Greek Shipping, international and Greek journalists, university students as well as the members of the 4 international bilateral chambers who participated with the presidents in the panels of speakers.

The central theme of the conference was the analysis of Geopolitical developments and their degree of influence on international trade and the Economy. Through authoritative analyzes of Diplomats, Presidents of international Chambers, scientists, internationalists, economists and analysts of international Geopolitics, an attempt was made to give the delegates the mechanics and methodology of understanding future Geopolitical changes and their relationship with the future of the Economy and world trade.

The conference was divided into 2 sections:

1st SESSION “ Geopolitics & Diplomacy in a world that is changing (10.30 – 12.30)

The political interventions of the 5 politicians - speakers, created a basis for a dialogue which was enriched by the 2 valid geopolitical analyzes of Messrs. Oikonomou and Xiradakis. In any case, their suggestions led to positive reflection and conclusions that will be discussed for a long time.

2nd SESSION “Geopolitics & Geoeconomics. The affect in the International trading and commerce. (13.00 – 15.00)

The second Session dealt with Geoeconomics and essentially with how Geopolitical developments are expected to affect international trade, commerce and maritime transport.

The audience had the opportunity to address questions which were not satisfied to be answered only by the direct interviewee but also by the others who were placed in the framework of the fruitful debate in a complementary and never heretical manner.
