International distinction for the Shipping Deputy Minister Marina Hadjimanolis from the International Propeller Club

The International Propeller Club’s Maritime Person of the Year Award was awarded to the Shipping Deputy Minister of Cyprus Ms. Marina Hadjimanolis. According to an announcement by the Presidency, the award was made during the annual meeting of the International Propeller Club, organised in Tampa, Florida, America.

Ms Hadjimanolis is the FIRST Cypriot to be awarded this important prize, which has been awarded annually since 1984, recognising her contribution to the global shipping industry. A very important international recognition for Cyprus and the work carried out by the government of Nikos Christodoulides in the shipping sector, which is recognised through this award, for the first time after 40 years.

The Propeller Club was formed in 1922 as an informal group of shipping professionals which then became a national and international organization in 1927. The prestigious international business network counts more than 80 Propeller Clubs worldwide aiming to promote the international shipping industry.
