Bari-Ship has long played an important role in fostering collaboration and innovation for the maritime industry in Japan and beyond. ABS has proudly participated in Bari-Ship since its inception and values the biannual event’s ability to bring together Japanese shipowners, ship builders and equipment manufacturers.

At Bari-Ship 2025, under the overarching theme of Advanced Solutions for Your Evolving Fleet, ABS specialists gathered to discuss some of the biggest trends in maritime, including alternative fuels, carbon capture, digitalization and advanced technologies.

Key activities included ABS seminars: “Path to Carbon Neutrality: Carbon Value Chain and LCO₂ Transport” presented by Hirotomo Otsuka, Manager of Japan Business Development, and “Decarbonization: Emerging Trends and Route-to-Market of New Technologies” by Tim Badalotti, Principal Engineer of Global Sustainability. Both seminars attracted full rooms of key industry players, with over 40 attendees at each seminar.

ABS was pleased with the successful participation in Bari-Ship and are eager to continue driving innovation and sustainability efforts in the maritime industry. We look forward to connecting with our valued clients at Bari-Ship again in 2027, as we continue to lead the way in advanced maritime solutions.
