Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol welcomed the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-powered vessel at the container terminal of Limassol Port.

With a total length of 205 metres and a capacity of 2,126 TEU, the CMA CGM SALAMANQUE LNG constitutes a significant step forward and a tangible example of good practice and alternative solutions towards a green energy transition in the shipping sector. The use of LNG as a marine fuel contributes to the reduction of gas emissions and air pollution, and a cleaner and greener future for maritime transport. This is the first ship with this technology to arrive at the Limassol container terminal.

For Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol, sustainable development is a strategic priority. Therefore, we are proud to support environmentally friendly initiatives and actions that contribute to the green growth of the shipping sector and shape the future of global trade.
