On January 21, MOL President & CEO Hashimoto served as a panelist, representing a Japanese company developing global business, in the Davos official session “Japan Navigates Uncertainty” with Ryosei Akazawa, Japanese Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy, Busi Mabuza, Chairperson of the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa, and Milojko Spajić, Prime Minister of Montenegro. They discussed social issues facing Japan and Japan’s position in the world. Hashimoto expressed his view about the outlook for the future amidst heightened geopolitical tensions, saying, “Trade patterns may change, but trade volumes will not decrease,” and stating that “We will continue to diversify our portfolios.”
